We are delighted to announce the outstanding results achieved by our students of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Class of 2025. Their commitment, resilience and academic achievements are a source of pride for our entire school community.
This year’s results reflect both the dedication of our students and the exceptional support provided by our teaching staff:
- 90% of the students were awarded the IB Diploma, surpassing the global average.
- Our highest score was 40 points.
- The cohort’s average score was 31 points, above the global average.
Many of our graduates will now go on to pursue their studies at prestigious universities across Ireland, England, France, the Netherlands, the United States and Spain, among others, embarking on diverse and exciting academic journeys.
These results are much more than just numbers; they represent the culmination of two years of inquiry-based learning and personal growth. We are proud of every student for their unique contributions and achievements.
Message from Sharon Duggan, Head of Secondary
We did it…finally!
It is with pride and gratitude that I write this post. After what has been a very challenging two years for all of us, we have achieved great success in our DP results with a 90% pass rate.
I want to congratulate each and every student for their hard work, perseverance and resilience throughout what has been a tough journey. Their determination and that of their families was what led to the success achieved this year, a success we plan to build on and learn from in order to keep growing and improving. We could not have achieved any of this without your support and collaboration of all of our DP2 families.
I want to thank the teachers for their commitment, passion, and tireless effort. You believed in our students, even when they doubted themselves, and you provided them with the guidance and inspiration they needed to thrive. Thank you for your unwavering dedication.
When this new cohort started their DP journey, we were determined to turn things around. We put new support systems in place and most importantly, we listened. We really listened to their concerns and their feedback. This helped us to shape their DP experience and to ensure that it was successful. Our students are an inspiration to us all!
I am incredibly proud to have been a part of this journey, and I look forward to seeing all the amazing things this cohort will accomplish in their futures. We will use our success this year as a stepping stone to continue providing the best possible education for all of our students.
A huge congratulations, once again, to our DP2 cohort!
Best wishes,
Sharon Duggan
Secondary School Principal
