Gateway to Academic and Professional Future

At The English School of Asturias, we prepare our students for the British external exams, the IGCSEs, at the end of Year 11. These exams, together with the core and optional subjects, guarantee access to further studies and can be homologated with the Spanish education system (ESO).
Stages
Our students take core and elective subjects between the ages of 14 and 16, tailored to their interests and future studies. At the end of Year 11, they sit the IGCSE exams, which provide access to higher education and can be homologated with the Spanish education system.

At The English School of Asturias, our Key Stage 4 (ages 14-16) students choose core subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English Language, and Spanish Language, along with 3 electives that fit their interests, such as Art and Design, French, or Information Technology. At the end of Year 11, they sit the IGCSE exams, which give them the opportunity to pursue further studies and can be homologated with the Spanish education system.
